Flower Trends for 2013

Dahlias
These flowers are making a big comeback and are a versatile flower which will suit retro style bouquets as well as smart table centres and feature arrangements. Seasonal in late summer and autumn, look out for them next year in most colours from pale pastels to strong reds, oranges and purples.

Mis-match
Gone is the idea that everything floral has to match across all aspects of the wedding. Now bridesmaids may be in different colour dresses with varying colours of flowers. Table centres can be of 2 – 3 different styles, or use an eclectic mix of containers each filled with a different type of flower. Flowers for the hair are designed to suit each bridesmaid's individual hairstyle, all reflecting more relaxed approach to styling with flowers.

Mini Succulents
Echeveria and Sempervivum make a quirky addition to your bridal bouquet, are great for buttonholes and provide a talking point for table arrangements. What's more they last and last. Look for them in all colours from shades of pink and turquoise to deep maroon and purply black.

Seasonal Flowers
Roses are still the most popular choice for wedding flowers and are available all year round. However, seasonal flowers are featuring more strongly giving lots of scope for individual designs which when looking back at the photographs capture the essence of the season you got married.

Yellow
Whether sunflower bright or pastel primrose, yellow flowers will start to feature. Whilst yellow isn't a colour everyone can wear, it is a happy, upbeat and bright flower to include in your theme.
